This event is being held at the home farm of Maryellen Werstine, one of our founding Centaur members. This year is a little different after the Covid 19 Outbreak and considering this is a private home, there will not be availability for spectators. Limited number of friends and family of competitors are welcome. Only 25 Riders allowed.
THE WEEKEND LINE UP & SCHEDULE:
**Friday the action starts at with a new, super fun Team Event- Match Play Elimination style. Prizes to the winning team! 1 run from each rider will count towards the rider's overall score for the competition.
Friday evening we will be providing pizza for all competitors and volunteers.
*Saturday will start at 9 am with the 6 scoring runs on The Raid Course aka the Korean Course, 6 scoring runs total/ 2 runs each of the double shot, triple shot and angled triple shot, followed by 2 runs of the Wilderness trail Course. The trail course is 575 meters long in a loop through a variety of terrain. There are 16 scoring opportunities so bring extra arrows!
*Sunday is The Tower Course aka Hungarian Course, 6 scoring runs, followed by 3 scoring runs on the "Over The Rainbow Qabaq" Centaur's version of the Qabaq.

THE FARM, FOOD, LODGING & STABLING:
Centaur Ranch is located 11954 Woodview Trail, Gaylord, MI 49735. Its a 22 acre farm located in one of the highest spots of the the lower peninsula in beautiful northern MI. We have a 90 meter straight track with 20 meters of run on and run off. There are outdoor electric paddocks available for overnight stabling. Space is limited. You must reserve a pen ahead of time. If your horse can picket line or if you have a mobile/temporary paddock for your horse we suggest you do that first before reserving a pen. Water hose is within close reach to all paddocks.
There is limited space for parking trucks and trailers, so PLEASE try to consolidate by sharing trailer space to haul here and consider sharing a horse.
Camping is welcomed and preferred! To create an inclusive community feeling, all are welcome to stay on property all weekend. So much easier to not have to go anywhere. There will be 2 porta-potties and an out door private showers available to use. If you need a hotel or some more modern accommodations there is a host of chain hotels in Gaylord and a few choices in the town of Waters. If you are from another state and flying in for this event and would like to camp, please contact us.
*Sorry, there is no electric outlet for anyone's camper. If you are staying here, you must be self containing/sufficient.
There will be a bonfire pit for nighttime festivities. Please bring a chair for yourself!!
We are providing pizza on Friday night and we will have food available Saturday and Sunday for competitors and volunteers. If you need something special, please bring it for yourself.
Please bring a reusable water bottle for the weekend. We recycle and compost everything! We will have bins for your convenience. Please leave no trace as much as possible.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE:
You are welcome to arrive Thursday at noon and stay until Monday at noon. If you plan to arrive earlier or need to stay later please make arrangements with Maryellen Werstine 989-280-8683.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
You will need a quiver, at least 20-25 arrows, 3-5 flu flu arrows with blunt tips, whatever special food and drink you need for the weekend and whatever your horse needs for the weekend.
